Last year was about harsh lines and geometric patterns but this year it is all about soft shapes and gorgeous curves. We are not only finally embracing them on our bodies but also in the house. Let’s embrace curves everywhere!
Embracing the archway
Living in a 70’s semi detached house has so many perks. Not only do you have the luxury of space, a pretty huge garden but you might also be lucky enough to have a walkthrough living room diner with an architectural feature arch. We used to knock them down and open them out, but if you are lucky enough to still have yours it is time to embrace it. Paint this beautiful feature in two contrasting colours and bring the archway back.

Add them in
If you haven’t got arches in your house already you can always introduce them. We are seeing archways cropping up everywhere this season, not just in lighting but also in furniture. Accessorising with curves is so easy, whether it is creating a bench system like this one at Breadway Cafe or introducing lighting and accessories into your house. Use the horizontal curve ceiling light above your dining table for impact or the oval pill wall light for instant wall art.

Paint them
Colour blocking is one of this year’s most important trends and creating wall art at home is a growing trend within this. If you are swooning over curves like we are, try painting them into your interior.
