As the living room is a space we mainly chill out in, in this room we want to create the perfect mood lighting.  This means that table lamps, wall lights and floor lights are often the most used lighting in this space. The purpose ceiling light in the living room is to be focal point at to bring the look of the room together.

Hang them just above head height for maximum exposure.  Hanging a feature light also means that the eye is drawn up to the ceiling when you walk into the room and this helps create a sense of space in the room.

The ceiling light in the living room is often only switched on when you have tasks to carry out, like the ironing or when the kids are playing with their toys (a very important task).  When this happens, maximum light is needed so pick a light with multiple bulbs and bulbs which are angled so that you aren’t left fumbling around in the dark.

We have picked out the perfect living room ceiling lights below to give you a helping hand.  For more information on living room lighting head over to our instagram for tips and tutorials here.
