How can I clean this product?

We would recommend using a non-abrasive cloth to clean our lighting, something soft and dry like a clean duster.


Are your light’s suitable for dimmers?

Is this suitable for the bathroom (IP44 compliant)?

If a product is suitable for the bathroom, it will state it on the product page.


Which zones are the bathroom lighting suitable for?

Our bathroom lighting is suitable for zones 1 and 2 in the bathroom. Simply put, this means you can hang our lighting above a bath or sink safely.


What makes this product suitable for the bathroom?

IP44 rated which means that it is protected from any water spray from any direction. The light bulb and electrical components are completely sealed for safety meaning that no water drops can touch them.


I want to use this fitting in my shower (zone 0), can I do this?

Unfortunately the bathroom lighting is only for use in zones 1 and 2 in the bathroom and are not able to be used within an enclosed shower.


Is this suitable for outdoor use (IP60 Compliant)?

Sorry - we don’t have anything which is suitable for outdoor areas at the moment. If it is something you really want to see, drop us an email at help@houseof.com and we will pass it on to our lovely buyer / designer Hannah.


What bulb is suitable for this product?

What is an LED?

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode (fancy name) and they are starting to replace most conventional bulbs as they are highly energy efficient.


Are your bulbs LED?

Yes, all of the bulbs we offer in the range are LEDs.


Do you have colour changing bulbs?

At this time we don’t but if it is something you really want to see, drop us an email at help@houseof.com and we will pass it on to our lovely buyer / designer Hannah.


Are your bulbs dimmable?

Yes all of the bulbs we offer are dimmable.


What is the colour of you light bulbs? Warm white or Cold White?

All of our bulbs are warm white (around 3000 Kelvins if you want the science bit).


Do you have any bulbs in Cool White (4000+ Kelvins)

No, at this time we only offer warm white bulbs


What are Kelvins?

Kelvins basically show the colour of the light emitted, the higher the kelvin the more blue the light gets. All of our bulbs and fittings are around 3000 kelvins and so are warm white, which is normal for a household light.


What are Lumens?

Lumens show how bright the light is, the higher the lumens, the brighter the light.


What is the equivalent wattage of your bulb?

Are your lighting products class 1 or 2?

This differs per product, give us a call or drop us an email on help@houseof.com if you would like to know this.


Does your products have a 2 or 3 core wire?

Are bulbs included in your products?

Some of our lights are fitted with LEDs which are integral to the product. Some of our products do not come with bulbs. Please check the product page to see if the bulbs are included or not.


How easy is it to fit your ceiling lights?

We would recommend that any ceiling lighting or wall lighting be fitted by a qualified electrician.


How easy it is to build the light?

All of our lights come with simple instructions, we think it is easy and most will take a maximum of 15 minutes to put together. If you are struggling we are always here to hold your hand through it, just call us on 03303 119530 or drop us an email on help@houseof.com


How long is the cable on your products?

Can I get the pantone reference for your product?

Of course, happy to help. Email us at help@houseof.com with the name of the product and the number and we will let you know.


guarantee & spare part questions


I have broken the shade, I need a spare part.

That’s fine, we have all been there. We have a spare parts request service, you can either email us on help@houseof.com or phone our customer services line. Let us know the name and number of the product and which part you need and we will request it. Just to let you know we can only provide spares parts for lighting which is still in production and further details are covered in our terms of service.


How long will it take for my spare part to be delivered?

It can take up to 4 weeks for spare parts to be processed, that’s because they come straight from Leo at our factory.


What is the guarantee on this product?

We offer a 2 year guarantee on all of our products which covers you for manufacturing faults. If you would like to make a claim then email us on help@houseof.com or call us on 03303 119530 to start your claim.


What do I need to keep as a guarantee?

Just keep hold of your proof of purchase email. This is the only thing you will need to start your claim.


Do you offer a fitting service?

No, we don’t offer this at this time.

Can I change the address on my order?

You will need to contact us as soon as possible to see if your order has been dispatched. We will not be able to change the address if the item has left the warehouse although you may be able to contact the courier for help.

What delivery service do you offer?

We offer free express delivery (Monday - Friday). This means you will normally get your package within 1 - 2 days.


Where do you deliver?

At the moment we only deliver to UK addresses (including Highlands and Islands). If you would like to arrange delivery outside of these areas it will be your responsibility to arrange delivery. Give us a call on 03303 119530 and we will see what we can do.


I have missed my delivery, what will happen?

Our courier will attempt to deliver the package again and will contact you to arrange this. After 3 failed deliveries they will return the package to the warehouse and you will be refunded.


Can I cancel my order?

If the order has left the warehouse unfortunately it will not be possible to cancel the order. We will deliver your item and you can choose to reject the delivery, or receive the delivery and then organise a return. If the item has not left the warehouse, we will cancel the order and offer you a full refund. Call us as soon as you can on 03303 119530 after placing your order and we will be happy to help.


Does this package require a signature?

We would advise that you are present for the delivery to ensure that it is safely received but alternative arrangements can be made with the courier, once delivery has been assigned.

How long is your returns period?

Our returns period is 28 days from date of delivery and they are free!


How can I organise a return?

Please call us to arrange a return on 03303 119530. Please have your order number and pick up address to hand. We will organise a courier to come and collect your return at your convenience. How much are returns?

We offer free returns for 28 days from date of delivery.


I have something which is faulty, can I get a replacement?

It shouldn’t be a problem, just give us a call on 03303 119530 or organise a return online. If it is outside of our returns window then it will be covered by our guarantee (if it is a manufacturing fault).


Do you have a showroom where I can view the products?

At this time we do not have a physical store but if you need any more information on anything then please email us on help@houseof.com as we love helping out.

Do you offer an EEE or WEEE take back scheme?

We are a member of Valpak Distributor Take Back scheme, meaning you can take all of your products to your local recycling centre for recycling.


Will your take away my old light fitting / furniture?

We are a member of Valpak Distributor Take Back scheme, meaning you can take all of your products to your local recycling centre for recycling.


Is your packaging recyclable?

Yes! As a company we are aiming to reduce our plastic footprint on the world, our lighting and furniture are all packed in cardboard with no nasty polystyrene or plastics.


Do your products contain plastic?

Yes, unfortunately we do use plastic on our products due to EU electrical standards but we are really trying to reduce the amount we use through our packaging.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

At this time we do not offer gift vouchers but it is something we are working on. We will keep you updated.


My promo code isn’t working

That’s annoying but don’t worry. Firstly, check the date of expiry on your code, if it is still in date and not working just drop us an email at help@houseof.com and we will fix it.


What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Where are your products made?

Our products are made world wide. We search for the best makers and factories and go to where they make things best. Our lighting is made in China for example, as that’s where it is best to make it.


Who designs your products?

All of our products are designed by us, in house, it’s something we are pretty proud of.
